INTRODUCTION

algoseek Equity Announcements data is built from public resources that provide announces for symbol’s name changes and Delistings.

The US Equity Announcements dataset covers all announcements for future changes that can occur on all public US exchanges. algoseek doesn't include announcements outside the public market (OTC, Over-the-Counter).

Currently, the announcement data is available from 2022.

DATA ORGANIZATION AND FILE FORMAT

algoseek provides Equity Announcements data in a plain-text CSV file. The first row of CSV file is a fixed header and then rows of data corresponding to specific events.  By default, data is organized into a single file with all history (see Table 1 for sample Equity Announcements data).

Table 2 (below) provides the name, default value, brief description, and data type for each data field (column) in the Equity Announcements CSV file.

Table column “Missing” indicates a default behavior if the data field value is absent. The column value “Never” means that the data field value is always present.

Note: The ‘EffectiveDate’ field represents the initial effective date that was published during the first announcement. Sometimes it can be blank when the event was announced already but the effective date is not predefined yet.
